Fuerteventura, situated in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, and is the second largest of the Canary Islands. 100 kilometres in length and 31 kilometres wide Fuerteventura was declared a biosphere reserve by Unesco in 2009. With the longest beaches in the Canaries some 50km of fine white sand 25 km of volcanic black sand Fuerteventura is a great destination for beach holidays.
